Update

So I went to the doctor today and my BP is high!!! It was 130/90 and last week it was 130/80. So the doctor is concerned. I also had protein in my urine. I am now on modified bedrest. I am dialted to a "tight" 2 and 60-70% effaced. (at least some progress). SHe told me to stay on the couch and watch oprah or Ellen, ha ha. Tomorrow was supposed to be my last day at work but she told me I cannott go so I guess I am done with work now for a while!!! HOoray!! She wants me to go to the hospital on Sat and get my bp checked. I asked her is I should bring stuff and hse said I should put it in the car because if my bp is high I will be staying at the hosptal for possible induction. So, It is possible we may be seeing our little girl this weekend!!! For now I will just watch movies and drink lots of water (that is what she said). I will keep everyone posted.

2 weeks left!!

Only 2 weeks left, hooray!! I cannott wait. I wish she would come sooner. I did alot this weekend but nothing happened, ha ha. I guess she will come when she is ready. I am still only dialated to about a 1 as of last Thursday and she said that if my pelvic opening doesn't start stretching I am gonna have a hard time. What great news!! I will probably end up being the one who has to get the c-section. ha ha. I will think positive. I have only one more week of work and I cannott wait!!!!! August 1st is my last day.
Other than just waiting around for this baby to come, not much is going on here at the Church's. We got a new car!! I love it. We needed more room for the baby and our giant monster, Jack. This Jeep will work out great. We got it from Enterprise and got a great deal. Our payments will be the same as our other car so it works out great. I also finally got my crib bedding!! It is in the picture below. I love it!! We still have to decorate the room some more but I am waiting for my mom for that. We just hav eto hang pics and the drapes are being made right now so It probably won't be completely done untill my mom comes here when the baby is born. I am pretty sure she won't mind if her room is not decorated. ha ha At least it is semi organized. I guess we are just in a waiting game now!!

Update

Everything is going well down here in Las Vegas. It was sooo hot the week of the 4th I thought I was going to die!! Thankfully when I work I never go outside for 12 hours. I am officially 36 weeks, hooray!! I went to the doc today and she said I was dilated to a 1 (like that means anything) She guessed that the baby was around 6 pound 9 ounces!! I was not expecting that. I know they are usually wrong. SHe said she thinks the will end up being in the 7 pound range. My mom is freaking out because she says there is no way I can get a baby that big out because she had a hard time and so did my aunt. I told here not to jinx me and not to compare me to her. ha ha I can't wait to have this baby!! Also, I had a dream last week that we had a boy!! it was a disaster, I gave all my clothes away to Julie. ha ha When I went to work the next day I called the ultrasound tech who told me it was a girl and made sure that she saw girl parts. She didn't remember because it was to long ago and she thought I was crazy. OH well a healthy baby is all we need. Boys can live in pink rooms right?

Oh ya, we are also getting a new car!!! We need an SUV so we can transport our big giant dog and a baby in a car seat. We are just trading in our other car for a Jeep from Enterprise because Greg gets a deal. I am excited. Back to my old Jeep days.

Greg took a real close up of my belly.

Jack is getting pretty curious too. He keeps going into the baby room and sniffing everything, its pretty funny. Here is him with his nose in the bag of toys.

Checking out the crib. His tongue can fit perfectly through the holes.

Here is him sniffing a diaper. I got one in the mail the other day and he tried to eat it!! He is in for a big surprise.

Alot of Work to Do!!

So here is a picture of my new furniture. The left is my crib that finally got put together (thanks to Greg's brother -in-law). I put the drawer together, ha ha. And the other is the dresser and changing table. I love this furniture and can thank my mom for getting it for us. We also got the kit to change the crib to a toddler bed. Anyway, I have alot of work to do in this room. My mom came yesterday and brought all the stuff from my Utah shower and the stuff my aunt have me and you can see its all over the floor!! So much organizing and work to do on this room still. My mom is getting some curtains made and we are trying to come up with things to put on the walls. I am waiting to get my bedding unitll the end to get the 10% discount and see if I get any giftcards. If anyone has any ideas for the room let me know. It will be fun to get it all put together. 5 1/2 weeks left!! I will show the finished project when its done.
Another funny thing, my mom brought the stroller and car seat also because my grandma was nice enough to buy it for us. We got it all out of the box and put together and my dog is scared to death of it!! He goes to smell it and if you even make a noise or move he jumps back. Its really funny. I guess thats a good thing. I can't believe something is really going to wear and use all this stuff, its so weird to think about.

Heather's Wedding!!

The wedding was Tuesday June 24th. She finally did it!!! ha ha Everything turned out perfect. She had a dinner instead of a reception at Hidden Valley Country Club. The food was great and she had dancing and a small program. She looked beautiful!! Congrats to Jake and Heather Harmon. I also got to spend some time with Karin, Spencer, and Julie in between the wedding and dinner which was way fun!! Too bad Greg couldn't be there.

Karin and I had no dates so we danced together.

I thought this was so cute of Spencer dancing with cute pregnant Julie!!

I absolutely loved her dress so here is a pic of the front and the back.

A fun weekend!!

Here is the cake my aunt made for the shower. She is amazing!!

Having lunch with old friends Heather, Alicia Elisa, and abby.

I met Teigan and Julie for Ice cream on Monday. It was so fun to see Teigan before she takes off to Nebraska. We also have had some good times.

This last weekend I went to Salt Lake for a baby shower and my good friend Heather's wedding. It was a really fun weekned. I stayed in Park City with my aunt. The weather was wonderful. On Sat we had a baby shower for me(pic on left). It was good to have friends and family there and I got alot of good stuff. I am sad because my mom had to take all of it because I flew. Now it is all stuck in St George. I feel like I need to nest and get it all organized. She has my stroller and car seat too. Oh well, i will get it eventually. I really appreciated all who came. I am blessed with so many good friends and family. On sunday I hung out with Teresa and Carina, my aunt and cousin. We went to the homestead and had lunch with ma and pop and my mom and brother. ON Sunday night I headed down to Alica Tullis's house where I stayed for a couple of days. We had such a good time reminiscing about all the good times we had through the years (we go way back). Tuesday was the wedding which I will post about above. I did have a great time but it is good to be back home with Greg and Jack.

27 Weeks!!

This is 27 weeks and 4 days. I am almost to the 3rd trimester!! Hooray!! It has gone way fast. 3 more months to go. I can't imagine growing for that much longer, I am gonna be huge! So far everything has been great. I feel fine except for occasional sciatic aches and back aches. I am still working 12 hour shifts and doing fine. You can finally see my belly through the scrubs. They are not fitting me anymore but I am putting off buying new ones. Its also getting hotter which is not good. Today I thought I was going to die, I think it hit 100. We went to babysrus and started registering, Greg had a blast!! ha ha I picked out my bedding and I am way excited because it matches my walls perfectly. Other than that nothing much is going on. We get to go to Logan this week for our friend Chad's wedding!! I have not been to Logan for like 4 years, I am way excited to see it and good friends. It will be short and sweet. I am getting jealous of everybody who has had their babies already. I can't wait.

Yes Greg I Do Love You!!

Greg keeps saying that all of his friends wives love their husbands because they do a post about them and I have been tagged like 3 times and haven't done it yet. So to prove my love to Greg, ha ha I will finally do this tag thing.

1. What is YOurWhat is your husband's name? Gregory Maxwell Church

2.Who eats more? Hmmm It kind of depends but usually Greg. Right now it might be me. Greg never eats breakfast though.

3. Who said I love you first? Greg did then finally one night I ran up to his room and told him and then left. I am kind of retarded.

4. Who is taller? Definitely Greg by at least 5-6 inches

5. Who is smarter? It depends on the subject but I think Greg wins overall. He is much smarter in history and politics and stuff like that but I win hands down in science stuff.

6. Who is more sensitive? I feel the same way as Whitney about this one. I am hands down more sensitive. Greg never gets emotional. I have a feeling when this little girl comes I may see a more sensitive side of him come out.

7. Who does the laundry? ha ha. Totally me. I think Greg has forgotton how to do laundry.

8. Who sleeps on the right side of the bed? I do in every bed we sleep in.

9. Who pays the bills? I actually pay most of the bills. Most of them are online and automatic its very nice. My dad got me microsoft money so its way easy.

10. Who cooks more? Totally me. I don't think Greg ever cooks unless I am at work and he heats something up in the microwave or oven. I lied, he does most of the grilling outside and is very good at it. But in the kitchen he does not cook.

11. What meals do you cook together? Only meals that require a bbq. Greg cooks the meat and I cook the side dishes.

12. Who is more stubborn? ha ha totally Greg. He is very stubborn. If he doesn't want to do something, he is not gonna do it. I think our daughter might just be stubborn too.

13. Who is the first to admit it when they are wrong? I would have to say me. I think Greg has a hard time admitting he is wrong.

14. Who is more clean? I would say we are equal on that in different ways. Greg would probably say that he is more clean. He never hangs up his shirts but my car is a disaster. (he gives me crap all the time for that one). Sometimes I leave things out. He doesn't always do his dishes either. We are definietly equal.

15. Who has more siblings? Greg...he has 3 sisters and one brother with 7 neices and nephews. I only have one brother.

16. Who wears the pants in the relationship? I think we are equal

17. What do you like to do together? We like to go to movies or watch them at home and go out to dinner. We also like to walk our dog. When we get the oppurtunity we like to travel.

18. Who eats more sweets? I think Greg wins on that one. He is a big dessert guy.

19. Guilty pleasures? I would have to say ice cream for greg and maybe in and out burger.

20. How did you meet? We met in college at Utah State. We first met at a FHE activity at first dam but then he dated my roommate.

21. Who asked who out first? We kind of started with just hanging out alot since we lived so close so I don't really know who officially asked who out.

22. Who kissed who first? Greg invited me over and pulled the move.

23. Who proposed? Greg did at the beach lookout in LA. He started with a fake ugly ring then pulled out the real one.

24. Best features? I would have to say his eyes and smile. He has pretty blue eyes and a great smile.

25. What is his best quality? Greg has a great sense of humor and is always joking arond and having fun.

New York City

New York was the second half of our vacation. We took the train from DC which was cool because I have never been on a train. My grandparents were nice enough to give us their Marriott points and we stayed in the Marriott Marquee in Times Square. It was sooo nice!! The location was perfect too. We saw all the typical sites and went on a bus tour. We also saw Lion King on Broadway. It was amazing!! Overall we had a wonderful trip that we will never forget. THe picture to the right is ground zero. This is where the towers would have stood. I was a little disappointed that they didn't have more to see down there like a plaque or something. There are fences everywhere too so you can't see anything.

To the right is the empire State Building and to the left is Times square.

Top of the Empire State Building

The STatue of Liberty. We just looked from afar because the line was to long for the ferry around Ellis Island.

Washington DC

This past week Greg and I took a trip (a babymoon) to Washington DC and New York City. Greg has never been (and we all know he is a history buff) and I went a long time ago. We had an awesome time. We started out in DC for 3 days and then New York for 3 days (ny pics will be below). In DC we saw all the typical sites: Washington MOnument, Lincoln and Jefferson Memorials, WWII memorial, Vietnam, Korean, White House, Capitol, Smithsonian, Holocaust Museum, National ARchives Museum, etc, etc. It is always really cool to see our nations capitol and to see how the country was founded. All the walking was a little hard on me in my pregnant state but I suffered through it and had a good time. We have never gone on a trip with just the 2 of us besides our honeymoon so it was great. We got to spend time with my old roommate Erika who lives our there. SHe showed us around a bit.

This is the washington Monument at night. IT is so cool with all the lights. Here is Iwo Jima Memorial. It is soo b big and powerful.

Greg is really into taking pics so we have alot

with just scenery and no people.

Jefferson Memorial The White House

It was the Cherry Blossom season in DC. They are so amazing and are everywhere!! They have a big festival all around the area with food, music, etc. The flowers don't really smell but they are beautiful. Above is a picture of the cherry blossom trees lining the Potomoc River.

22 Weeks

So here am at 22 weeks pregnant. I feel much bigger than this picture shows, ha ha. Its definitely popping out. Last week at work, the ultrasound tech scanned me. She said she was totally sure it was a girl!! She said she would look again later but she was sure. So, Its a girl!! ha ha. It was so fun to have another US. Hers was much better than the other one because she was looking for fun. The baby was opening her mouth alot and moving all around. IT was so cool!! I hope she does it again. For now I guess we can start buying pink stuff. My aunt has already sent 7 bags of clothes to my moms house!! They range from newborn to like 2 years so that is good.

Its a Girl.......Maybe!!

We finally got an ultrasound!! It was so great and amazing. It made it all real. So, the umbilical chord was inbetween her legs and her legs were close together. The tech said she was like 90% sure it was a girl but she wouldn't document it. She said to not go buy anything pink yet!! I was so mad. She was being stubborn and wouldn't move (like her dad). I am calling her a she anyways. So, we don't really know for sure yet. WE will see. Her head was also way far down by the cervix so the tech couldn't get 2 of the measurements or views that she wanted so she is leaving it up to the doctor to decided if another us is necessary. She kept pushing on her an everything but she just wouldn't move. She moved her arms stuff at first and I could feel it against the probe it was so cool!! I hope these pics work. I can't really tell what they are of. I just know its the face and rest is to confusing. ha ha OTher than she said everything looked ok.

17 weeks

Okay, so this pic is for Julie upon request. There is not much there to show yet. Just a small little bump. My boobs kind of over power my stomach, ha ha. I don't normally look this bad either. Its slowy creeping out. My pants are definitely not fitting very well anymore. Its all about the low rise. I still haven't felt it move yet. I really want to. We get to find out the sex on March 26. I wish I was in Italy so I could have an ultrasound every month!!! They are so stingy here. I do have my own doppler so I can hear the heartbeat whenever I want.

Everything is going well so far. I am feeling much better except for occasional aches and pains, especially at work. We are getting excited to find out. I refuse to buy anything untill I know what it is and get to see it.

Kauai

We just got back from kauai with my family. We had a really great time. It is our second time going there because they have a time share. The weather was kind of crappy but it was still fun. It would rain for 20 min then be sunny for 20 min etc etc. So I didn't get to good of a tan. oh well. It is beautiful there. Unfortunately we took more pics of scenery than of people because we all have nice cameras and are obsessed with good shots. oh well.
The highlight of our trip for me was hiking along the Napali coast. this is the part of the island that you can't drive around. The cliffs are steep and jagged. The views are amazing!!! You have to drive forever to get there but it is pretty. You hike right along the edge of the cliff and you can see the ocean below you. Because it had been raining the trail was very muddy and slippery which made it even more fun.. THe pic above shows the mud. At first we were careful and by the end we didn't care. We had mud caked up to our knees by the end. It was pretty fun.

The is the view from the first part of the hike of the coast where you start. Its amazing too.

The hike is actually like 12 miles if you want to do the whole thing but most people hike to a beach which is what we did and its only 2 miles one way. Right before the beach we came to this river that my mom explained as a "trickle of water" into the ocean. ha ah. It was up to my thighs. So much for our shoes. It was a strong current too. THank goodnes for my walking stick.

THis is our destination, the beach. It was nice but they warn you to stay away from the water because of the currents. It was beautiful.

This is the view down the Naplai coast from the trail. When you first see this it is breathtaking!!

THis is the whale right in front of your hotel that we caught jumping out of the water.

This is the "grand Canyon of Hawaii" or waimea canyon. It is amazing too!!

The coast by our hotel.. Greg is obsessed with the waves crashing so we have millions of pics of this.

My mom and I got "laid" ha ha. I love these they smell soooo good. This is our balcony to our room.
